1How to place an order of gas springs or accessories?
2Can gas springs be reused?
No. Gas springs have their life and are exchanged for new ones after their wear. The reusage of springs would be very complicated and economically disadvantageous.
3Can gas springs be “re-pressurized” or can pressure be “released” from the gas springs?
Gas springs made by us can be re-pressurized to a higher pressure, if they are not used or used only very briefly. Re-pressurizing is not possible in the case of worn springs ready for a replacement.
However, pressure cannot be reduced in a standard gas spring. A standard gas spring has a non-return valve, which does not allow the release of nitrogen from the gas spring. Reduction of pressure in the gas springs is possible only if it’s a gas spring with valve supplied by us (we will be happy to provide more information on this type of springs in person, by phone or email).
4Are you also able to make other dimensions of gas springs other than those listed in the catalog?
We also produce atypical dimensions of gas springs, which, of course, is reflected in the delivery date and the price of gas springs. The fact whether it is possible to produce the atypical dimension is subject to consultation with Manna OM
5How much pressure can gas springs withstand?
The pressure a gas spring can “withstand” depends on the diameter of the piston and stroke length of the gas spring type. All pressure ranges for which standard gas springs can be pressurized are listed in our catalog for each type of gas spring. The minimum and maximum possible pressure for special designed gas springs must be consulted with Manna OM
6Are you able to help us with designing gas springs?
Of course, we also offer this service for free to satisfy our customers and to minimize the number of incorrect installations of our springs as much as possible. So if a customer is not sure what type of gas spring should be used, what pressure the spring should have for its application, or where to place the mounting points, we are happy to advise you this manner and send you a simple assembly drawing.
7Do you also perform the installation of gas springs at the customer’s location?
This service is not offered. Springs come with a simple, straightforward assembly drawing, according to which installation is hassle-free. We’re able to help you with the assembly only at the headquarters of our company, provided the customer has their application already adapted for the use of gas springs.
8What is the delivery time for gas springs?
Thanks to large stock supplies we supply gas springs in Germany within 2-3 days and in Hungary within 48 hours (for date of delivery to other countries, please contact us and we can provide fast and reliable delivery). Larger delivered quantities (500+) are, of course, supplied separately. The delivery and shipping costs in this case are also specified during order.
9What coating is applied to the gas springs?
The piston rod is treated by QPQ liquid nitriding and the pressure part is painted using black epoxy paint. In the stainless steel design, the entire spring is made of AISI 316 stainless steel.
10What is a gas spring filled with?
Gas springs are pressurized using technical nitrogen.
11Which parameters are important when ordering a gas spring?
Important parameters are: the stroke of the gas spring in millimeters, thickness of the piston rod in millimeters, gas spring pressure in Newtons, the total length of the gas spring in millimeters, the end of gas spring – either welded mesh or threads. If the spring has threads at the ends, the customer can select from a broad range of ends. All these parameters can be found displayed in our catalog.
